Job summary

Mooresville Graded School District is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to maintain and secure the district’s LAN/WAN infrastructure. You will manage network operations, support staff, and collaborate with the Director of Technology to plan improvements.

Responsibilities include security measures, vulnerability monitoring, and incident response. The role requires a strong background in education IT and excellent communication with district staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) years of network technology support experience; or ten (10) years of experience.
• Experience supporting technology in a K-12 educational environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, DNS/DHCP, and network security.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation, configuration, maintenance, and operation of LAN/WAN and related hardware/software.
• Provide secondary technical support to District technology staff.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations and inventories.
• Collaborate with the Director of Technology on infrastructure improvements.
