Job summary

National Heritage Academies seeks a Senior Network Engineer to ensure the stability, security, and performance of data, voice, and wireless networks across campuses and offices. You will design, deploy, and support LAN/WAN, WLAN, VPNs, DNS, and monitoring with a security-first mindset.

The role involves hands-on work with Palo Alto, Arista, Cisco, and Ruckus platforms, plus firmware lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and after-hours on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in network technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five years of relevant IT implementation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and replace LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, firewall, and voice network infrastructure across campuses and offices.
• Configure and maintain Arista and Cisco switching and routing including VLANs, routing protocols, and redundancy.
• Administer Palo Alto firewalls with security policies, NAT, VPN, and threat prevention.
• Administer DNS infrastructure, zones, records, and forwarding; coordinate DNS with DHCP/IPAM.
• Design, deploy, and maintain monitoring and alerting for network devices and services.
• Serve as day-to-day technical focal point for network operations and respond to outages and capacity constraints.
