Olympic Medical Center is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide senior leadership for network projects and to manage WAN/LAN networks across all campuses. The role requires planning, administration and direction of network systems to ensure services meet defined levels.

The Senior Network Engineer provides senior leadership for projects and ensures best business processes are adopted. This position administers, organizes, plans, and directs the various networks at all OMC campuses to ensure that all OMC data, voice, image, and video network systems are maintained at appropriate service levels. The senior network engineer provides leadership in the evaluation, planning, managing, and development of new telecommunications, WAN and LAN technology, and wireless networking, and documents policy and procedures for all network based technology. This position trains and updates appropriate staff on network-based policies and procedures. Strong vendor relation skills are required to ensure high-quality support for maintenance and disaster recovery. Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills, verbal and written skills, mastery of the MS Office applications suite, and experience with monitoring and development tools are essential. The Senior Network Engineer must be able to set and enforce network policies.
Bachelor of Science in computer science, engineering, or equivalent preferred.
Two years’ demonstrated experience of advanced management of both WANs and LANs required. Comprehensive understanding of OSI model. Experience troubleshooting and performance tuning LAN and WAN preferred. Three years’ experience with complex networks preferred. Experience in routing, Vlans, 80211, EIGRP, Firewalls preferred. VPN experience with Cisco ASAs preferred. Three years’ experience in VMWare virtual networks preferred. Knowledge and experience in advanced telecommunication and network system design and access techniques preferred. Core competency in standard Linux commands preferred. Cisco Certified Network Associate certificate preferred.
