Job summary

Wealthfront is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with Networking expertise to join the Infrastructure team. You will work across hardware, networking, and software to design, implement, and maintain financial systems spanning data centers, offices, and the cloud.

You will automate infrastructure using IaC, contribute to hybrid cloud architecture, and own network telemetry, configuration, and on-call incident response.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Linux systems.
• Experience automating production data center environments.
• Familiarity with networking protocols and concepts such as BGP, MLAG, VLANs, DNS.

Responsibilities

• Manage networking and server hardware, topology, and connectivity in data centers and cloud.
• Design and build network telemetry, monitoring, and observability.
• Build and maintain automated change management for network configurations.
• Lead on-call troubleshooting and post-mortems to prevent future issues.
• Participate in evolution of hybrid cloud infrastructure decisions.
• Coordinate with vendors and travel to Bay Area and New Jersey sites.
