Job summary

Wealthfront is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with Networking expertise to join the Infrastructure team. You will work across hardware and networking in our data centers, offices, and the cloud to build and maintain critical financial systems.

As part of the Networking team, you will shape future network architecture, automate infrastructure with IaC, and drive vendor-agnostic solutions while collaborating with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering or Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency with automation tools Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.
• Experience with Linux systems and production data center environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, MLAG, VLANs, DNS).

Responsibilities

• Manage networking and server hardware across physical data centers and cloud.
• Design and build network telemetry, monitoring, and observability.
• Automate network configuration deployment and hardware provisioning.
• Be on-call to triage operational issues and implement improvements.
• Collaborate on hybrid cloud architecture and vendor decisions.
