Job summary

GMI is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer III to deliver enterprise networking solutions and lead client engagements from discovery through implementation.

The role focuses on routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity, with emphasis on security, governance, and scalable designs for diverse customer environments. This remote, part-time contractor position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive network engineering experience.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise networking solutions.
• Experience leading projects and working directly with customer stakeholders.
• Experience with multi-vendor networking environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients on network architecture, modernization, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, network assessments, and solution design workshops.
• Develop and present recommendations, technical roadmaps, and implementation strategies to customer stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and project teams.
• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise networking solutions including routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity.
• Lead assigned projects from planning through implementation and knowledge transfer.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, task management, and time reporting.
• Troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and hybrid-cloud networking environments.
