Job summary

MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced network engineer to install, monitor, and optimize complex network environments including MPLS WAN and IPsec VPNs.

You will design, document, and implement network security and services across a large enterprise, collaborating with IT Infrastructure and vendor teams. The role requires hands-on expertise with Cisco/VMware ecosystems, strong problem-solving, and the ability to support after-hours activities.

Qualifications

• BS/BA and 8+ years’ experience in networking roles.
• 4 years of SME in respective areas.
• CCNP or CCDP certification required.
• Solid understanding of DNS/DHCP and network security practices.
• Experience with ITIL and SAS-70 frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Installs and supports MPLS WAN and IPsec VPNs.
• Contributes to network architecture and supporting services (DNS, DHCP).
• Uses diagnostic tools to monitor and troubleshoot networks and security systems.
• Implements solutions to meet predefined requirements.
• Manages disaster recovery testing and implementation.
• Mentors junior staff and leads in management’s absence.
