Job summary

GBCI is seeking a Corporate Network Engineer III to design, implement, and support the enterprise network infrastructure across multiple divisions. You will work with IT architecture, vendors, and service providers to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable networking solutions.

Responsibilities include routing, switching, Wi‑Fi, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking, with an emphasis on documentation, standards, and collaboration to meet business requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• 7 years of professional experience in computer science, information systems, or information technology.
• Experience with Cisco, Brocade, or Juniper switching, routing, wireless, video, and firewall hardware.
• Routing protocols include BGP, OSPF; ability to troubleshoot network issues and outages.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining network infrastructure.
• Experience with highly virtualized cloud or private data center and WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi environments.
• Subject matter expert in network technologies including Cisco, Juniper, Citrix, Fortinet, Meraki; Meraki Wi‑Fi and SD‑WAN experience.
• Understanding of IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, Radius, etc.
• Knowledge of network security best practices and VPN solutions.
• Azure VPN and virtual networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Stay current with networking products and industry trends.
• Collaborate with IT architecture, data center, and security teams to meet networking needs.
• Work with solution providers to understand roadmaps and readiness.
• Maintain accurate network documentation (topologies, configurations, IP, DNS).
• Create configuration, deployment guidelines, and standards.
• Assist leadership with vendor management for projects and services.
• Report metrics on service quality, bandwidth, latency, capacity, licensing, uptime.
• Drive process improvements and efficiency.
