Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support a large-scale wired and wireless network project for state and local government. You will evaluate existing networks, design and implement scalable infrastructure, and coordinate with stakeholders and vendors.

The role emphasizes documentation, testing, and security assessments to ensure reliable, compliant network operations across the NPS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, Information Systems or related discipline.
• CWNA/BCNE or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with RF site surveys and packet capture tools.
• Strong knowledge of VLANs, OSPF, VRRP and 802.1x security.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning, vulnerability assessment, and cyber threat information analysis.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage government network infrastructure.
• Improve monitoring and reporting with network management software.
• Document architectures, diagrams, and procedures for NPS environment.
• Review best practices and provide architecture recommendations.
• Lead testing procedures for new infrastructure projects.
• Provide design guidance on network solutions for NPS projects.
