Job summary
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Network Engineer IV to lead planning, design, installation, and implementation of our network infrastructure in New Jersey. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices, work with end users, teams, and vendors, and drive high availability across LAN/WAN and DWDM/ROADM environments.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 10+ years of IT experience, and advanced Cisco/N network expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT related discipline or equivalent certification.
- Ten or more years of IT experience.
- Expertise in TCP/IP, routing, switching, wireless, VPN, firewall, and LAN/WAN.
- Knowledge of DWDM/ROADM optical transport systems.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Leadership experience on complex network projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, install, and implement network infrastructure.
- Install and maintain network devices; troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
- Collaborate with end users, teams, and vendors to resolve network problems.
- Lead on projects or implementations and mentor junior staff.
- Participate in on-call rotation; ensure high availability.
