Job summary

NuAxis, LLC seeks a Network Engineer IV to provide advanced engineering, design, and operational support for enterprise WAN/LAN environments and secure connectivity across multiple locations. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining complex network infrastructures within federal IT environments.

Requirements include 4+ years in network engineering, Cisco-based design experience, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in network engineering.
• Hands-on experience with firewall and network security solutions (NGFW, IDS/IPS, content filtering, RADIUS/TACACS, 802.1X, VPN).
• 3+ years designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco-based networks.
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet platforms; federal networking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced network engineering support for WAN, LAN, and secure connectivity across locations.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
• Design and support enterprise routing, VLANs, QoS, segmentation, and security controls.
• Maintain VPNs, MPLS, and remote access; monitor performance and perform proactive troubleshooting.
• Contribute to documentation, change management, and project planning.
