Job summary

vTech Solution is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support our agency's IT network infrastructure in a hands-on role based in the United States. You will handle day-to-day operations, documentation, and projects involving enterprise routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on enterprise networking experience.
• Proven ability to design, install, and troubleshoot local- and wide-area enterprise networks.
• Extensive experience with routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Strong background in monitoring, metrics collection, and disaster recovery for network environments.
• Experience creating network diagrams using industry-standard tools (e.g., Visio).
• Familiarity with networking protocols such as ARP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, IPsec, SNMP, MPLS.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, wireless APs, and load balancers.
• Identify and diagnose system problems using diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure suppliers to validate requirements and configurations.
• Assist in troubleshooting network issues impacting application performance and uptime.
• Oversee installation, documentation, and upgrades of agency facility data network infrastructure.
• Coordinate with cloud and DevSecOps teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SD-WAN configurations.
• Provide documentation including network topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls.
• Work independently on assigned projects.
