Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires 7-9 years of experience with BS/BA
• Minimum 3 years of Cisco experience; proficiency with routers, switches, firewalls
• Experience in VMware environments
• Experience in LAN/WAN and low bandwidth networks with encryptors
• Automation tools experience (Ansible, Python, etc.)
• SDN and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) familiarity
• Information Assurance certifications per 8570 IAT Level III

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze the existing network architecture and provide designs of WAN/MAN/LAN technologies
• Lead design, implementation, and sustainment of secure, scalable network architectures for DoW software apps
• Recommend best practices like SDN and network segmentation
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design circuit specifications
• Integrate networking solutions across development, test, and production environments
• Communicate risks and mitigation strategies to program leadership
• Monitor network performance and define incident response capabilities
• Develop and enforce network standards and baselines
• Create and maintain network architecture artifacts and specs
• Conduct cost/benefit analyses for hardware and software selections
• Test network designs and verify configurations
• Plan enhancements with stakeholders and product teams
• Advise on hardware requirements and configurations
• Maintain broad technical knowledge of networking hardware and software
• Evaluate new communications technologies for network enhancements
