Job summary

KBR's National Security Solutions team seeks a Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our wired and wireless networks, ensuring stability, security, and efficiency to meet DoW objectives.

The role collaborates with software, cybersecurity, cloud, and operations teams to integrate networking solutions, implement monitoring and incident response, and develop network standards. A Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance is required, with 7–9 years of Cisco experience.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
• Requires 7-9 years of experience with BS/BA.
• Minimum 3 years of Cisco experience; proven expertise with Cisco network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Proven experience in VMware environments.
• Proven experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Python).
• Knowledge of SDN and network segmentation.
• Experience with Change Management processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and design secure, scalable WAN/LAN architectures supporting DoW software across environments.
• Collaborate with software, cybersecurity, cloud, and operations teams to integrate networking solutions.
• Lead implementation of monitoring, logging, and incident response for network infrastructure.
• Develop and enforce network standards, baselines, and best practices.
• Interface with government stakeholders and program leadership on risks and mitigations.
• Evaluate new communications technologies to enhance network capabilities.
