Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Network Engineer with a Final DoD Secret clearance to support mission-critical SATCOM ground systems in an Agile environment. You will design, implement, and sustain secure networks across distributed locations, collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities include SDN deployment, network testing, and performance monitoring, with emphasis on security, resiliency, and compliance with DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Active Final DoD Secret clearance or higher with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) and data flow analysis.
• Current or ability to obtain CCNA/CCNP certification.
• Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, NFS, DHCP, DNS, FTP, Telnet, SSH and firewall policy design.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan network communications systems for geographically dispersed SATCOM operations.
• Develop specifications for network architecture, hardware selection, and implementation tools.
• Conduct testing, data-flow analysis, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting of network designs.
• Evaluate emerging communications technologies and recommend enhancements for security and resiliency.
• Implement SDN solutions and integrate with existing infrastructure.
• Provide expertise on network/hardware/software interconnection and data exchange.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to deliver high-quality solutions.
