Amentum is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the IRES program, delivering high‑speed data center fabrics and secure software‑defined networks across multiple sites including Schriever SFB, CO. The role emphasizes automation, Zero Trust, and compliance with DoD/DISA/MDA security standards.

Responsibilities include configuring Nexus spine‑leaf networks, NSX, Versa SD‑WAN, F5 BIG‑IP, and Infoblox DDI, while coordinating with government stakeholders and contractor teams to ensure

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Spine-Leaf EVPN‑VxLAN architectures and NX-OS.
• Proficient in NSX SDN and distributed firewall concepts.
• Strong F5 BIG‑IP LTM/GTM deployment, tuning, and iRules.
• Experience with Infoblox DDI/IPAM and API automation.
• Hands-on with Versa SD‑WAN edge transport and security features.
• Scripting for automation (Python/Ansible/Terraform) to implement IaC.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, implement, and secure high-speed data center fabrics.
• Develop automated network solutions and enforce Zero Trust and DoD/DISA/MDA security standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, security, and government stakeholders on hybrid cloud environments.
• Manage SDN/NFV components including NSX, F5, Infoblox, and Versa platforms.
• Create and maintain low-level designs, ICDs, SOPs, and cutover plans.
• Support tier-3/4 troubleshooting and network compliance activities.
