Job summary

FEDITC, LLC. seeks an experienced Network Engineer to support DHS WAN, enterprise architecture, and security implementations.

The role covers Cisco routing/switching, VPN, F5 GTM/LTM, Palo Alto firewalls, and Blue Coat proxies, with a focus on design, deployment, and incident resolution. The ideal candidate will support DHS components with standards-compliant network solutions and provide artifacts like requirements and diagrams for projects, while being able to adapt to complex, evolving

Qualifications

BA / BS (relevant field); relevant experience may substitute for education.
CCNA certification is preferred.
5+ years hands-on Cisco routing, switching and firewall experience.
2+ years WAN experience with incident/operations management.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and TCP/IP.
Ability to work on-evening change windows and on-call support.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document in tickets and knowledge repositories.
Work nights for Change Requests and be part of the on-call rotation for network incidents.
Learn a complex, dynamically changing network and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate with DHS components to design WAN solutions meeting architecture standards.
Produce design documents, diagrams, and other project artifacts.
