Job summary

FEDITC, LLC is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the enterprise architecture, design, development and deployment of network services for the DHS WAN. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, design documentation, and on-call rotations within a complex, security-driven network environment.

The role emphasizes Cisco routing/switching, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls, with collaboration across DHS components and customers to drive network modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years hands-on Cisco routing, switching and firewall technology.
• Experience with WAN environments and incident/operations management.
• Strong IT security knowledge for networks and applications.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document findings in tickets and knowledge bases.
• Participate in after-hours change windows and on-call rotations for network incidents.
• Learn and adapt to a complex, dynamic network and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with DHS components and customers to design WAN solutions meeting architecture standards.
• Produce design documents, diagrams, and project artifacts for DHS network modernization efforts.
