Job summary

Blink Health is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to manage our routing, switching, VPN, and firewall infrastructure across office locations and the cloud.

You will design, implement, and secure networks in a microservices environment using AWS, Kubernetes, and Meraki/Palo Alto gear, while mentoring staff and supporting on-call rotation.

This hybrid role requires 5+ years of experience, willingness to travel to NYC, St. Louis, or Pittsburgh as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing on-prem and cloud networks.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes in a microservices environment.
• Deep knowledge of VPNs, DNS, OSPF/BGP, security groups.
• Ability to design scalable, secure networks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Blink’s network infrastructure including Meraki, Palo Alto, AWS VPC.
• Serve as technical architect for network design in a microservices & container-based environment (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Work with IT leadership on projects, identify new products & solutions, and research solutions.
• Promote secure, redundant, and automated network designs.
• Mentor service desk technicians for level 1 support.
• Act as escalation point for network issues.
• Configure, harden, patch network devices according to security best practices.
• Monitor security alerts and investigate incidents.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Communicate incident progress to stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Duties focused on network administration with backup to systems engineering (Windows/Linux).
