Job summary

Charles River Associates is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its global IT team. The role focuses on planning, designing, implementing, and securing enterprise networks across campus, data center, wireless, WAN, and cloud spaces.

You will document configurations, support global operations, and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in professional services networking, CCNA+ certifications, and hands‑on experience with Azure and AWS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS or related field; Master’s desirable.
• 4–6 years of directly relevant networking experience in professional services or similar.
• Active Cisco certifications at CCNA level required; CCNP preferred.
• Experience with Azure and AWS networking in both cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, data center, wireless, and security networking.
• Ability to design, document, and secure complex network topologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, test, document, and maintain secure network infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex network, wireless, DNS, and connectivity issues.
• Produce Visio diagrams, implementation plans, and configuration documentation.
• Administer management platforms like Nexus Dashboard, Catalyst Center, and Infoblox.
• Maintain accurate inventories, circuit info, and vendor contacts; document changes.
• Plan upgrades with minimal service disruption and safe rollback procedures.
• Develop and maintain network policies, disaster recovery, and training plans.
• Ensure devices and configurations are current and secure; monitor performance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors; travel to CRA offices as needed.
• Occasional out‑of‑hours work for upgrades and outages.
