Job summary

Charles River Associates is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a small global networking team responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, securing, and troubleshooting enterprise networks across campus, data center, wireless, WAN, and cloud environments. The role supports day-to-day operations and advances security initiatives.

The successful candidate will work with IT colleagues and stakeholders globally, with some travel to CRA offices and occasional out-of-hours work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Master's desirable) in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
• 4-6 years relevant work experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
• Cisco CCNA level certification required; CCNP preferred; Microsoft Azure and AWS certifications highly desired.
• Knowledge of secure LAN/WAN, campus, data center, wireless, and cloud networking operations.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS networking.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus data center switching, fabric and Catalyst switches, and Firepower firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, test, document, and maintain secure network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex network, wireless, firewall, DNS, and connectivity issues.
• Produce network diagrams and implementation plans using Microsoft Visio; maintain configuration standards and as-built docs.
• Administer and use Nexus Dashboard, Catalyst Center, Infoblox for visibility, configuration, and lifecycle activities.
• Plan upgrades with minimal service disruption and tested rollback procedures.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies and training for network resource administration and disaster recovery.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to deliver projects; travel to CRA offices may be required.
