Job summary

Charles River Associates in Houston is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its global ITS team. You will design, implement, and secure enterprise network systems across campus, data center, wireless, WAN, and cloud environments, working with IT colleagues and business stakeholders worldwide.

You will maintain documentation, support security initiatives, and coordinate upgrades while minimizing downtime. The role requires travel to CRA offices and occasional off-hours for upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field.
• 4-6 years in professional services or equivalent.
• Cisco CCNA or higher certification required.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, data center, wireless and cloud networking operations.
• Hands-on with Azure and AWS networking.
• Experience with Nexus and Catalyst switches and Firepower.
• Proficient with Visio for topology diagrams.
• Familiar with ITIL change management.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, test and maintain secure network infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
• Create Visio diagrams and deployment plans.
• Manage Nexus Dashboard, Catalyst Center, Infoblox configurations.
• Maintain documentation and inventory records.
• Plan upgrades with minimal disruption.
• Develop and enforce network policies and DR plans.
• Ensure security and up-to-date hardware/software.
• Monitor performance and provide metrics.
• Collaborate with vendors and teams; travel may be required.
• Occasional off-hours for upgrades.
