Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Network Engineering Design Manager to lead design, implementation and optimization of enterprise LAN/WAN architectures supporting mission-critical operations.

The role oversees routing, switching, VoIP, network security integration, and datacenter modernization while providing leadership, training and documentation to contractors and government teams in CONUS and OCONUS environments.

Qualifications

• BS in related field and 5+ years IT experience preferred, or 7+ years.
• Firewall and network security expertise required.
• Experience with Windows Server deployments and server images.

Responsibilities

• Design LAN/WAN data, voice, and video architecture.
• Lead routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Analyze network performance and security incidents.
• Develop reports and trend analysis for bandwidth and security.
• Provide technical leadership and training to contractors and government staff.
• Support enterprise datacenter modernization and IT management.
• Maintain documentation and operational support.
