Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Network Engineering Design Manager to lead enterprise LAN/CAN/WAN architectures, including VoIP and datacenter modernization.

You will guide advanced routing, security integration, and performance analysis for DoD and commercial environments, mentoring teams and coordinating contractor efforts. The role requires deep Cisco expertise, DoD IA tooling knowledge, and the ability to plan, troubleshoot, and brief complex initiatives across

Qualifications

• B.S. in related field and 5+ years IT experience.
• Firewall experience.
• Knowledge of network security threats.
• Experience with Windows Server in Host/Compute Environments.
• Storage solutions, DNS, DHCP, remote access, core and distributed network solutions, high availability.

Responsibilities

• Design LAN, CAN, WAN data, voice and video architecture.
• Configure routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and MPLS.
• Analyze networking metrics and identify sub-par network performance.
• Develop reports and trend analysis on bandwidth and security incidents.
• Troubleshoot DoD and commercial information assurance tooling integration.
• Administer Cisco products (VoIP) and related technologies.
• Provide on-shift training for contractors and government personnel.
• Plan, upgrade, and deploy enterprise datacenter hardware/software on a project timeline.
• Provide general IT management and networking support.
