Job summary

Vets Hired seeks a Network Engineering Design Manager to design, implement, optimize, and support enterprise network architectures across LAN, CAN, and WAN data, voice, and video networks. You will lead networking initiatives, support DoD intrusion systems, and train personnel in Cisco technologies.

Responsibilities include planning, deploying datacenter hardware, troubleshooting routing protocols, ensuring security, and maintaining documentation for deployments CONUS/OCONUS as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; 5+ years IT experience.
  • Experience with firewalls.
  • Knowledge of network threats and security.
  • Ability to analyze information and recommend improvements for network performance.
  • Experience installing and supporting Microsoft Windows Server in host and compute environments.
  • Experience using Windows Server images.
  • Experience implementing storage solutions and high-availability environments.
  • Experience with DNS and DHCP.
  • Experience with network connectivity and remote-access solutions.
  • Experience with core and distributed network infrastructure.
  • Experience maintaining and monitoring enterprise server environments.
  • Strong enterprise networking and network engineering experience.

  • Administer advanced Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, VoIP, and other network technologies.
  • Provide technical training to contractor and government personnel.
  • Train personnel on Cisco switches and routers, hardware troubleshooting, LAN technologies, and operating systems used on deployed networks.
  • Analyze network and system requirements.
  • Participate in planning, designing, upgrading, and deploying enterprise datacenter hardware and software.
  • Support project-based network engineering initiatives.
  • Provide general IT management support.
  • Provide general networking support.
  • Provide LAN/WAN enterprise support.
  • Provide network operations and maintenance support.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports.
  • Support technical meetings and briefings.
  • Provide functional training and knowledge-sharing support.
  • Support CONUS and OCONUS deployments and TDY travel as required.

Job Summary
Network Engineering Design Manager

The Network Engineering Design Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise network architectures.
