Amentum is seeking an experienced NGE Network Design Engineer Architect/Lead to direct the architecture and governance of the Missile Defense Agency’s digital network ecosystem. You will lead a cross‑functional team across data centers, WAN, campus, and cloud boundaries, delivering scalable Spine‑Leaf fabrics and SD‑WAN designs.

The role requires DoW Secret clearance, strong leadership, and extensive expertise in EVPN‑VXLAN, NSX, F5, and Infoblox, with a focus on Zero Trust and policy

Qualificações

• Requires 12+ years general work experience (may be reduced with advanced education).
• 6+ years in design/leadership of large‑scale DoW networks (data center, WAN, campus/branch).
• 1+ year in management/leadership role.
• Expert knowledge of routing & switching (BGP, OSPF, IS‑IS), EVPN/VXLAN, MPLS, QoS, IPv6.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust segmentation, 802.1X/NAC, and FIPS cryptography.
• Familiar with hybrid/multi‑cloud networking patterns; RMF/STIG compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Network Architecture efforts across multi-contractor environment; establish roadmaps and baselines.
• Mentor a multidisciplinary team of network design and implementation engineers.
• Oversee design reviews, audits, and engineering deliverables to government stakeholders.
• Architect data center fabrics (Spine-Leaf, NX-OS) and integrate with VMware NSX/VCF.
• Design enterprise load balancing, SSL offloading, and high‑availability routing.
• Define WAN/SD‑WAN architecture with Versa networks and secure branch interconnects.
• Govern IPAM and DDI with Infoblox; enforce 802.1X/NAC and security controls.
