Job summary

Amentum/Secure Networking Solutions seeks a Network Architect / Team Lead to design, build, secure, and modernize complex enterprise networks. This role leads a team of network engineers and administrators while providing hands-on direction for LAN, WAN, and cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will integrate encryption and Zero Trust, plan transitions from Layer 2 CVPN to Layer 3 internet transport, and ensure security compliance. TS/SCI CI Poly clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Design and build LAN, WAN, and cloud network infrastructure.
• Hands-on with Cisco Firepower FTD and Cisco ASA.
• Experience applying encryption and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience leading technical teams of network engineers and admins.
• Plan major transport changes from Layer 2 CVPN to Layer 3 internet connectivity.
• Address CVEs and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop network architecture and implementation plans with security and reliability in mind.
• Design data communications networks spanning LAN, WAN, and cloud infrastructure.
• Lead engineers through design reviews, implementation, troubleshooting, and operations.
