Job summary

Northern Technologies Group in Colorado Springs seeks a Lead Network Design Architect to drive enterprise-grade network architecture for the MDA program. You will lead cross-functional teams, define roadmaps, and govern architecture across data centers, WAN, and campus networks.

The role requires deep expertise in EVPN-VXLAN, NSX/VCF integration, and security controls, with a focus on Zero Trust, STIGs, and RMF compliance.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship required with active DoD clearance or the ability to obtain one.
12+ years in network engineering with leadership in large enterprise/DoD environments.
Expert routing/switching knowledge (BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, IPv6, QoS) and network resiliency.
Experience implementing Zero Trust segmentation, 802.1X/NAC, and crypto controls.

Responsibilities

Lead Network Integrator across program enterprise and align roadmaps with stakeholders.
Translate mission needs into network architecture roadmaps and trade studies.
Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary team of network engineers.
Architect data center fabrics (Spine-Leaf, NX-OS) and integrate with VMware NSX/VCF.
Design enterprise load balancing and secure WAN interconnects with SD-WAN/SASE.
Govern IPAM, DNS, DHCP with Infoblox in hybrid cloud pipelines.
Ensure DoD RMF/ STIG compliance and support cATO processes.
