Job summary

Simplesense in the Denver metro area is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design and implement scalable infrastructure automation, configuration-driven tooling, and network workflows across customer environments.

You will work with Connectivity and broader Engineering teams to onboard facilities into our hybrid-cloud platform, ensure secure, repeatable deployments, and uphold zero-trust security principles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building infrastructure automation, systems engineering, or platform engineering in complex environments.
• Strong experience automating provisioning, configuration, lifecycle management, CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
• Solid Linux system knowledge, including configuration, packaging, and scripting.
• Understanding of network design, segmentation, VPNs, firewalls, encryption, and secure connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of reusable tooling and IaC workflows for connectivity network infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain automation for Linux-based systems and network appliances.
• Translate onboarding needs into scalable infrastructure provisioning, secure connectivity, configuration management, and validation workflows.
• Build security-forward automation aligned with zero-trust principles and network segmentation.
