Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer / Network Automation Architect to design and deliver the next generation of automated network infrastructure. You will own architecture, build Python services, REST APIs, and Ansible-driven workflows across Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Arista, and more.

You will create scalable data models (MariaDB), implement zero-touch provisioning, and lead testing and deployment strategies to ensure safe, reliable changes in production networks.

Qualifications

• Experience building production-grade network automation platforms.
• Ability to design scalable, testable Python services and REST APIs.
• Experience with Ansible-based automation and platform integration.
• Knowledge of relational data modelling and database access layers.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and safe deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own the end-to-end network automation platform.
• Develop production-quality Python services, APIs, and data access layers.
• Build zero-touch provisioning and device onboarding for multi-vendor networks.
• Translate network standards into reusable software components.
• Establish testing, validation, and rollback processes for changes.
