Job summary

Ideal Innovations, Inc. seeks a Senior Network Engineer to monitor FBI CJIS SNOC operations. You will ensure 24/7 system health, incident triage, and secure WAN/LAN connectivity across the CJIS network in Clarksburg, WV. You’ll work in a SAFe framework with agile teams and document workflows in Jira/Confluence.

The role emphasizes collaboration with network, system, and application teams, ensuring high availability and compliant operations for CJIS IT services. Morning shift: 7am-3pm, on site.

Qualifications

• Six years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• In depth knowledge of cloud, network, security, and routing protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS.
• Experience with WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site monitoring personnel for 24x7x365 services.
• Create and review network blueprints for LANs, WANs, and cloud networks.
• Assess new network hardware and software technologies and advise on upgrades.
• Identify and resolve network performance issues and optimize configurations.
• Identify vulnerabilities and advise on security best practices.
• Forecast bandwidth needs and plan infrastructure upgrades.
• Serve as go-to expert for complex network issues and provide guidance.
• Monitor network projects, configuration, installation, and testing.
• Develop network documentation and training materials.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation in Jira/Confluence and other repositories.
• Troubleshoot customer issues to identify root causes and resolve them.
