Job summary

MANTECH is seeking a Senior NetApps Storage Architect to join our Laurel, MD team. You will design and implement enterprise storage infrastructure for the IC, focusing on NetApp platforms and related management tools.

The role requires deep storage operations experience, DoD 8140 certification, and TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. You will lead architecture efforts, collaborate across IPTs, and produce detailed diagrams and runbooks.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in a technical field; 5 years storage ops may substitute.
15+ years in storage operations/architecture focusing on NetApps.
Experience with SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel and iSCSI storage implementations.
Proven proficiency with block, NFS, SIF, S3, and NAS.
IAM II DoD 8140 certification or equivalent (CCNA‑Security/ CySA+/ GICSP/ GSEC/ Security+ CE/ CND/ SSCP)

Responsibilities

Design, architect, deploy, upgrade, and support storage platforms and management tools.
Evaluate, deploy, manage, and integrate new storage technologies with cross‑functional teams.
Provide technical leadership and develop new storage infrastructure and ILM designs.
Shared ownership of storage provisioning and availability at government sites with the Storage Manager.
Keep abreast of storage/backup tech to guide future directions.
Deliver architectural designs, strategies and ongoing plans.
Create and maintain logical/physical diagrams, run books, and documentation.
Perform end‑to‑end storage performance analysis and present improvement recommendations.
