Job summary

Onyx Point, Inc. is seeking an Information Technology Senior Consultant to design, implement, and maintain enterprise storage and backup environments in a security-cleared federal setting.

The role requires NetApp expertise and on-call incident support, with responsibilities spanning architecture, deployment, and optimization across data centers. You will work with best-practice security standards (FISMA/STIG) and collaborate with engineers and architects to evaluate and deploy new technologies

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with full-scope polygraph clearance; U.S. citizenship required
• Senior-level experience with design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale storage systems across multiple hardware platforms and data centers
• Strong understanding of high availability, hardware concepts (disk/memory/CPU), and TCP/IP concepts

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, configure, deploy, upgrade, and support storage and backup platforms and management tools
• Diagnose and troubleshoot storage systems and related technologies
• Provide incident support and participate in on-call rotation
• Create and maintain logical/physical diagrams and run books
• Oversee installation of new storage hardware and software
• Ensure monitoring of capacity, performance, and utilization
• Stay abreast of developments in storage and backup tech for federal use
• Support data center migrations and storage replication technologies
