Job summary

Vertiv (ERS / HVM) is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV. The role requires extensive HV testing experience, NETA certification, and the ability to lead technical teams in time-critical environments.

You will travel regionally up to 75%, with compensation up to $110/hour and comprehensive benefits including a company vehicle, per diem, and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Expert knowledge of NETA MTS and ATS standards.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Interpret test results and author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures and mentor junior technicians.
