Job summary

Vertiv is looking for a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing capable of performing acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance on high- and medium-voltage systems. You will lead testing activities, analyze results, and deliver technical reports.

Applicants should have NETA III/IV certification and 7+ years of HV testing experience, with travel up to 75%. The role offers strong OT policies, signing bonuses, a company vehicle, and extensive training opportunities.

Qualifications

• NETA III/IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Proficiency with NETA MTS/ATS standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and circuit breakers.
• Interpret and analyze test results; author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions.
• Mentor and train Level I/II technicians in the field.
• Serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS, NFPA 70E, OSHA safety requirements.
