Job summary

Vertiv’s Electrical Reliability Services (ERS) and High Voltage Maintenance (HVM) seek a Field Engineer – Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to drive testing, commissioning, and maintenance of high‑voltage power systems in regional/national projects. You’ll travel up to 75% and contribute expert guidance on safety-compliant testing across critical infrastructure.

Your role includes leading testing programs, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring NFPA 70E and OSHA standards are met while achieving

Qualifications

• NETA III/IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards.
• Proficient with test equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Conduct insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and breakers.
• Interpret results and author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians in the field and lead multi-discipline project teams.
