Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV. Expect regional travel up to 75% and leadership of testing projects in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

You will work with advanced test equipment and contribute to detailed engineering reports, while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring compliance with NETA, NFPA 70E, and OSHA standards.

Competenze

• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• NETA Level III or IV Certification (current and in good standing).
• Expert knowledge of NETA MTS and ATS standards.
• Proficiency with test equipment: Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF.
• Strong understanding of protective relay schemes and coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel regionally (up to 75%).

Mansioni

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and circuit breakers.
• Interpret and analyze test results; author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions.
• Mentor and train Level I/II technicians in the field.
• Serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements.
