Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET/SQL Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise apps with strong SQL Server and XML/XSD expertise. You’ll work with .NET Framework, WCF, Web API, Angular, and Azure-based DevOps, delivering secure, scalable solutions.

You’ll translate business needs into technical designs, drive XSD migrations, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while maintaining secure coding practices and comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have advanced SQL Server and T-SQL experience with stored procedures and performance tuning.
• Strong XML/XQuery/XPath and XSD design/validation skills required.
• Proven C#/.NET Framework development with WCF and ASP.NET Web API.
• Experience building modern web apps with Angular (v15+) and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with GitHub workflows, CI/CD, and Jira Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex T-SQL stored procedures for XML data processing.
• Lead XSD migration work including updates to WCF services and Web API integrations.
• Develop Angular front-ends and Web API/ WCF back-end components in .NET Framework.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and databases.
• Prepare change requests and validated scripts for deployments and data corrections.
• Partner with SRE/DevOps for GitHub CI/CD pipelines and Azure IaaS patching.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities using Snyk and maintain dependencies.
• Create architecture, design, implementation, and operation documentation.
• Develop and execute unit tests with MSTest and support QA activities.
