Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is hiring a Senior .NET/SQL Developer for a remote US position. You will design, develop, and support enterprise apps focusing on SQL Server, XML/XSD, .NET, and modern web tech.

You will lead XML/XSD initiatives, migrate XSDs, and enhance WCF/Web API integrations while collaborating with stakeholders to convert requirements into robust DB designs and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL with stored procedures, performance tuning, and error handling.
• Strong hands-on experience with XML data types, XQuery/XPath, and XSD design/validation.
• Proven experience with C# and .NET Framework development, including WCF and ASP.NET Web API.
• Experience building modern web apps using Angular (v15+) and TypeScript.
• Solid Git/GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and Jira-based Agile delivery.
• Experience operating in Azure IaaS environments and release/change management.
• Knowledge of application security practices; remediation with tools like Snyk.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; translate business requirements into tech.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex T-SQL stored procedures for XML data parsing and transformation against XSDs.
• Lead XSD migrations; update WCF services and Web API integrations.
• Develop and maintain Angular front-end features and .NET back-end components (WCF/Web API).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into designs and DB schemas.
• Prepare and manage change requests for deployments with validated production scripts.
• Partner with SRE/DevOps to support GitHub CI/CD pipelines and Azure deployment tasks.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities and maintain current framework/library dependencies.
• Create and maintain architecture, design, implementation, and ops documentation.
• Develop and execute unit tests using MSTest; support QA activities.
