Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior .NET / SQL Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise applications with a focus on SQL Server, XML/XSD processing, .NET technologies, and modern web development. The role collaborates with stakeholders, DevOps, and production support to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

The position is remote for qualified applicants in the United States, with flexible work arrangements and ongoing security and maintenance

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL stored procedures.
• Strong experience with XML data types, XQuery/XPath, and XSD validation.
• Proven C# and .NET Framework development, including WCF and ASP.NET Web API.
• Experience building modern web apps with Angular (v15+) and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub workflows, CI/CD, and Jira Agile.
• Experience in Azure IaaS environments and release/change management.
• Security best practices with Snyk and vulnerability remediation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize enterprise applications with SQL Server and XML processing.
• Lead XSD migration initiatives and update WCF/Web API integrations.
• Develop Angular front end and .NET Web API / WCF back end.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Prepare change requests and validated deployment scripts.
• Work with SRE/DevOps to maintain GitHub CI/CD pipelines and Azure patching.
• Remediate security vulnerabilities and maintain dependencies.
• Create architecture, design, implementation, and operational documentation.
• Develop and execute unit tests using MSTest and support QA.
