Job summary

Matco Tools, a subsidiary of Vontier, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Matco Distributor Business System team. You will develop, enhance, and maintain web applications built on .NET Core, C#, Angular/React, and SQL Server, driving delivery with cross-functional teams.

You will provide technical leadership, participate in design reviews, mentor developers, and ensure on-time delivery while aligning with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 8+ years of web application development experience.
• Experience with .NET Core, C#, React, MVC, Javascript, WebAPI, SQL Server or equivalent.
• Experience in code reviews, architectural reviews, and functional reviews.
• Experience in providing estimates for major enhancements and projects.
• Experience deploying .NET builds, IIS.
• Experience with microservices and Azure cloud services.
• Expertise in CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain web-based applications (Angular/React, .NET).
• Coordinate with client product owners and technical leadership to understand requirements.
• Create technical solutions and present to client leadership.
• Lead and coordinate software development activities.
• Provide technical leadership to the development team.
• Conduct code reviews and low-level design reviews with developers.
• Implement enhancements and new features.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure quality products.
• Ensure delivery dates are met for projects and tasks.
• Scope project requirements including timetable, resources, and risk.
• Lead cross-functional project implementations as needed.
• Mentor other developers and consultants.
