Job summary

Matco Tools, a subsidiary of Vontier, is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead development of web applications and services using Angular/React and .NET ecosystems. You will collaborate with product owners and leadership to translate requirements into robust technical solutions and deliver high-quality software on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of web app development experience, strong .NET Core/C#/React skills, and proven CI/CD and Azure cloud experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in web application development.
• Experience with .NET Core, C#, React, MVC, Javascript, WebAPI, SQL Server or another similar database.
• Experience in code reviews, architectural reviews, and functional reviews.
• Experience in providing estimates for major enhancements and projects.
• Experience in deploying .NET builds, IIS.
• Experience in working with microservices and Azure cloud-related services.
• Expertise in CI/CD implementation using Azure Dev Ops.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Strong relationship-building skills and ability to explain protocol and processes with team, management, and users FIT FACTORS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain web-based applications based on Angular/React and .NET frameworks.
• Coordinate with client product owners and technical leadership to understand requirements.
• Create technical solutions and present them to client leadership.
• Lead and coordinate software development activities.
• Provide technical leadership to the development team.
• Code reviews and low-level design reviews with developers.
• Coding of enhancements and features.
• Work closely with developers and QA team to build quality products.
• Accountable for meeting delivery dates on assigned projects and tasks.
• Independently scope project requirements including timetable, resources, and risk assessment/mitigation.
• Lead project implementation with cross-functional team where needed.
• Provide direction and mentoring to other developers and/or outside consultants.
