Job summary

Matco Tools, a subsidiary of Vontier Corporation, is seeking a senior software engineer to develop and maintain web-based applications using .NET Core, C#, React, and SQL Server. You will lead development activities, collaborate with product owners, and ensure timely delivery while mentoring other developers.

You will work in a hybrid environment with Azure cloud technologies and Azure DevOps for CI/CD, contributing to architectural reviews and project estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in web application development.
• Experience with .NET Core, C#, React, MVC, JavaScript, WebAPI, SQL Server or similar database.
• Experience in code reviews, architectural reviews, and functional reviews.
• Experience in providing estimates for major enhancements and projects.
• Experience deploying .NET builds and IIS.
• Experience with microservices and Azure cloud-related services.
• Expertise in CI/CD implementation using Azure DevOps.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain web-based applications using Angular/React and .NET frameworks.
• Coordinate with client product owners and technical leadership to understand requirements.
• Create technical solutions and present them to client leadership.
• Lead and coordinate software development activities.
• Provide technical leadership to the development team.
• Conduct code reviews and low-level design reviews with developers.
• Code enhancements and features.
• Collaborate with QA to build quality products.
• Ensure delivery dates are met on assigned projects and tasks.
• Scope project requirements including timetable, resources, and risk mitigation.
• Lead project implementation with cross-functional teams as needed.
• Provide direction and mentoring to other developers and outside consultants.
