Fortra is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer to help design and build capabilities for the Automate platform. You will work on a mature .NET product, mentor teammates, and help the team adopt AI tools effectively while delivering high‑quality code.

This fully remote role supports a distributed team, focusing on modern software practices, code health, and collaboration across time zones. A strong emphasis is placed on design, testing, and customer impact.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep hands-on .NET and C# work.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented design, patterns, and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with large, long-lived codebases and CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab.

Responsabilidades

• Develop new platform capabilities in a large .NET/C# codebase across desktop, server, and database layers.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing; improve team practices and conventions.
• Explore AI-assisted coding accurately and safely, integrating tools where appropriate.
• Maintain platform health with upgrades, security remediation, and dependency management.
