Job summary

Aquent is seeking an experienced .NET engineer to design, develop, and maintain web UI and REST APIs within an enterprise .NET/C# environment. You will work with Agile teams to implement AI-assisted development practices, ensure code quality, and deliver scalable software solutions across full-stack tools.

You will collaborate with product owners and security teams, troubleshoot production issues, and mentor teammates while applying responsible AI concepts in software delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in application development.
• Proficient building client/server-side applications using .NET.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL Server (3–5 years).
• Familiar with creating REST API integrations (1–3 years).
• Familiarity with AI application development patterns such as prompt engineering and model/API integration.
• Proven history of debugging and troubleshooting full-stack applications.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and procedures.
• Comfortable with Jira, GitHub, and similar platforms.
• UI development experience with a single-page application framework.
• Experience with native cloud architecture or PCF-equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain web UI and REST APIs.
• Troubleshoot and support applications in production.
• Identify ways to improve technology, processes, and performance.
• Apply AI tools to improve development velocity, code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and team meetings.
