Job summary

Aquent is partnering with a prestigious client in the financial services sector to build ultra-low latency trading platforms. The role focuses on .NET engineering, event-driven architectures, cloud-native platforms, and Generative AI-assisted delivery to drive high-availability systems used in global markets.

You will contribute to AI-assisted workflows throughout the SDLC, enhancing performance, reliability, and delivery speed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years in scalable .NET, cloud-based, or web services for high-volume transactions.
Experience with .NET, Kafka, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with IBM MQ, Kafka, Splunk, JSON/XML, caching, and performance profiling.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, event-driven .NET applications and cloud-native patterns.
Build and modernize high-volume services and APIs for billions of daily transactions.
Collaborate with architects, product owners, and developers to translate requirements.
Leverage GenAI coding assistants for acceleration and quality assurance.
Apply AI-assisted development practices to improve productivity and delivery.
Ensure robust testing, observability, and production readiness for reliability.
Migrate legacy capabilities toward distributed .NET services and modern stores.
Partner with teams to adopt responsible AI-assisted software delivery.
