Job summary

City of Houston Information Technology Services is seeking a Senior IT Professional – Applications to provide production support for business-critical apps, monitor, troubleshoot incidents, and develop solutions using the .NET stack.

You will liaise with business units, gather requirements, coordinate change management and releases, and mentor teammates. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or closely related field.
• At least six (6) years of technology experience supporting applications.
• Advanced certifications may substitute for up to two years of education.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support to business-critical applications.
• Proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and quick resolution of incidents.
• Develop and troubleshoot custom applications and interfaces using the .NET stack.
• Coordinate meetings and requirements for support activities and enhancements.
• Coordinate change management and release activities.
• Mentor and train team members; communicate complex ideas clearly.
