Job summary

CVS Health in Texas is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the design, development and deployment of digital solutions powering member experiences. You will build cloud-native, microservices-based applications with event-driven architecture, using Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript, collaborating with Digital, Data & Analytics and Platform Engineering teams.

The role is hands-on, covering the full software lifecycle—from design through deployment and operations—with emphasis

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript
• 2+ years building and deploying cloud-based solutions, AWS preferred
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based apps
• Proficiency in testing frameworks and methodologies
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, MongoDB
• Experience with event-driven services and Kafka
• Experience building RESTful APIs and middleware, SQL/NoSQL
• Familiarity with emerging AI technologies in software
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) deploying microservices on AWS
• Serverless architectures and cloud-native design patterns
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

• Leverage cloud platforms and modern tech stacks to enable scalable solutions
• Drive innovation and alignment with CVS Health technical direction
