Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud‑native microservices powering member experiences. You will work with Digital, Data and Analytics, and Platform Engineering to shape technical direction and leverage AI technologies.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of enterprise software experience, 4+ years with Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript, and strong AWS and RESTful API skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience focused on enterprise‑level digital solutions.
• 4+ years with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript and asynchronous server‑side development.
• 4+ years building and deploying cloud‑based solutions, preferably AWS.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices‑based applications for scalability and maintainability.
• Proficiency in testing frameworks and code review practices for enterprise‑grade quality.
• Experience with relational and non‑relational databases and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of cloud‑native, microservices‑based solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to shape technical direction and architecture.
• Mentor peers and review engineering work across teams.
• Own the full software lifecycle from design through deployment and operations.
