Job summary

XCEL NDT, LLC. in Columbia, SC seeks a Level II UTSW Technician to perform calibrations and nondestructive tests per instructions, codes, and specs. You will set up equipment, interpret results, and maintain accurate records while guiding Assistants and Level I Technicians.

The role requires NDT Level II UTSW certification and may prefer additional RT/MT/PT/UTT Level II credentials. A strong safety mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• NDT Level II UTSW certification is required.
• Additional Level II certifications in RT, MT, PT and/or UTT are preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment and UT/SW systems.
• Conduct tests to detect discontinuities using approved NDT methods.
• Record results accurately and report test outcomes.
• Provide training and guidance to Assistants and Level I Technicians.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and standards.
